Modern Garage attached to a Hobbit House?!

Modern Garage Door - Hobbit HouseSome people use their garage as a way to spruce up their house. This guy decided to use his house to spruce up his modern garage. The result? His garage appears to be the only thing modern about this house…a house which appears to have arrived from Middle-Earth.

You heard that correct, Middle-Earth. You see, Chris Whited, a 6’1” tall man, decided to build a hobbit house with only his imagination as his guide.

‘A lot of it was learn-as-you-go. I didn’t know how some of the corners would come together. I thought, “We’ll worry about that when we get there,”‘ he said of his handiwork.

Modern Garage Door - Hobbit HouseThe 59-year-old contractor said he decided to build the house after trying the fanciful design on a henhouse and a playhouse for his grandchildren.

Chris also stated that he would be further along if he didn’t have folks regularly stopping by to see his handiwork and ask questions. However, he certainly didn’t seem to mind the attention or the excuse to take a few extra breaks.
